Glendale Quilt Show

My mom and I went to the Glendale Quilt Show today and had a great time. Neither of us had ever been to one before so we weren't sure what to expect. But we were surprised with the large amount of amazing quilts on display and the fun products that the vendors offered.  This first picture is of my mom with the fabric that we couldn't resist getting. We are going to make matching quilts with it and are very excited to start on those.

This next picture is of a gigantic flower quilt. We should have stood next to it so you could better grasp the size of it.

This quilt won "Best In Show-amateur" for capturing the "Threads of Time" Theme. If you looks closely you will find stonehenge, a sundial, and various other timekeeping apparatus.

This green quilt was amazing and huge and wonderful to look at. :-)

A detail from a large quilt that we both loved.

Can you believe this is a bib? Beautiful!

A detail of a Bible Verse Quilt that we enjoyed.

A detail of a fun, Patriotic quilt. The thread is variegated and switches between red, white and blue.

This bear is made up of hundreds of tiny brown squares of all different fabrics. Wow!

A detail of a Christmas quilt. I love penguins :-)

This one had tremendous quilting detail and applique work.
