Happy New Year Fabric Giveaway

(comments are now closed.)
With 2010 coming to a close,
I want to do something fun for all my faithful blog readers and quilting friends.
I am hosting a giveaway and it's the biggest one yet!
 Drumroll please... :)
I am going to give away a package of **7 yards** of Dr. Seuss fabric from the Robert Kaufman "Cat in the Hat" and "Celebrate Seuss" Fabric lines!

There's something so enchanting about all the Dr. Seuss stories and characters.  From "The Cat in the Hat" to "Green Eggs and Ham" I grew up reading all the Dr. Seuss books.  I even remember eating green eggs and ham in one of my classes as an elementary school student.  So it brings back many fun memories to see all the characters printed so beautifully on fabric.

***HOW TO ENTER***
There are 3 opportunities to enter the giveaway

1. Leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite Dr. Seuss book or character is.

2.  Follow my blog and leave a comment letting me know that you follow.  (If you already follow, simply leave a comment letting me know that you do)

3. Blog about my giveaway on your blog and leave a comment to let me know you've done so.

***Entries will be open until 6pm Pacific Standard Time on New Year's Day 2011.  The winner will be chosen using a random number generator and will be posted before midnight New Year's Day.  Please make sure that there is a way for me to contact you (e-mail address, link to your blog) in case you win the prize!  Good luck and thanks for entering!

It's funny that I never liked Dr Seuss books for my children when they were growing up because my mother didn't like Dr Seuss books. But my grandchildren, in three different families all LOVE Dr Seuss! They would thrill over a quilt or totes made with these fabrics...
I've read "Green Eggs and Ham" countless times now...I really "like them in the dark"! lol

AWESOME GIVEAWAY! My Favorite Seuss book is: And to think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street. It's about a boy, using his imagination, to describe what he saw on Mulberry Street. I love it because over the years, the book has changed to accommodate political correctness; I find that ironic.

I'm a Yertle the Turtle lover myself. The good Dr. had such a beautiful way of explaining justice and fairness to children (and adults) with Yertle, Horton, and the Lorax. These are heavy issues like facism, honor and conservation but kids clearly get the message. Thanks for the giveaway, As another comment suggested, these fabrics deserve to be made into a project that can be donated to children in need.
