I love this quilt. Have you ever made a quilt for someone else in a color scheme that definitely wouldn't go with your own house, but once it's finished you love it so much that you want to make another one to keep? That is what happened with this quilt and pillow sham set. When I picked out the fabrics, I fell in love with the bright colors and how much they popped against the white. It was so much fun to work on and I really enjoyed quilting it.
I think I am in a new phase of quilting right now in that I've moved away from free-motion quilting and really enjoy straight line quilting that mirrors the quilt's seam lines. I love the crisp, clean and orderly look that the straight lines create. Here are some pics of the finished product!

Very pretty! That's not my taste either but I would love that quilt too!
I love the blues and greens together.

This is gorgeous! I've been hoarding some Hawaiian hula girl fabric for a while but could never quite figure out what type of design I wanted to use. I love how modern this is. You've inspired me!
Came across your Surfboard quilt - I absolutely adore it! I'm actually in the process of planning my son's retro surf birthday party and thought this set would be perfect for his room!
